This is KQ rights issue all over again. Same script different cast. Only thing missing from the cocktail is management issues and scandals. There are issues of management, corruption and scandals. It's just a matter of time. The scams have been 'hidden' from view at the moment but Baba shall uncover them. Anyway, despite the attractive PER & PB, I am staying far, far away just like that galaxy in Star Wars! @VVS what would you advice someone who already has shares in Kengen. Life is short. Live passionately.

For once, I will be greedy where vvs is fearful... I will take up my rights in full.... If the trading price at the bourse tumbles, then I will further average down... Hoping govt takes up its rights to avoid oversupply on the floor For investors as a whole, returns decrease as motion increases ~ WB

This is one company with potential but the beneficiary have not been and will not be the share holders.
You even tell from the board with ZERO shares. They know who are the beneficiaries.
I agree with @vvs on this one, though am a trapped shareholder.

Electricity distributor Kenya Power and Lighting Company said yesterday it was not opposed to a proposal by Kenya Power Generating Company to sell power directly to large consumers near its plants. KPLC chief executive Ben Chumo said its the plan will not hurt its profitability since it has been clearly thought out between them. Chumo said the near monopoly power supplier will also engaged the Energy Regulatory Commission to ensure rules are followed in the plan. The framework will mostly rope in the manufacturers setting up base in special economic zones. http://www.energybiz.com...s-direct-power-sale-plan"There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore .
