This isn't a stock to touch even as MaichBlack says with a 20 ft pole. There is no clear startegy. Overcharging customers , bad customer services , delayed flights, self centred pilots and many others .Should wait till Mckeinsey devise a startegy for them .Hopefully it will turn around instantly like coop bank did

all the bad things mentioned are as a result of staff sabotage i.e bad service, delayed flights, arrogant pilots etc. At KQ its staff that are the main problem, management which caused larger strategy issues has now been replaced. This thing shall turn a profit by H1 2015

@obiero with due respect when will they read their H1 results . I want to hold you to your words . Remember Internet never forgets .when is the H1 results due Shame on you

November.. I already mentioned the exact date.

COOP 255,000 ABP 15.85; IMH 5,000 ABP 35.55; KQ 604,200 ABP 6.96; MTN 23,800 ABP 5.20

Just realized I could save 200 green bucks by flying ET rather than KQ on my usual bimontly trips within the region. KQ enyewe is damn expensive.

It simplifies the concept most corporations have. Make abnormal revenue without knowing how to manage the abnormal revenue you got. ET charge less but manage well the less they have accumulated .

direct flights are always more expensive. Even ET from ADD to say JNB cost more than if u transited to NBO.

He is a billionaire. 2 million KQ shares are worth 10 million shillings "only".

That is like @Obiero buying more KQ shares worth 2,000/=.

No story there!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

hehe... 10million "only" is still some decent amount. the only difference with @Obiero buying more KQ shares worth 2,000/= is that Kirubi knows this is the lowest point and he is willing to wait 5yrs..(Insha Allah)

Plotting a boardroom coup perhaps....Obiero needs to join him.

The NSE needs investor activists who can buy a certain % and dictate on how things are run in the company.

Lol, when billionare spends million on investment everyone thinks something good is comming, but when broke ass spends 1000/- on 100 shares of same investment, people running away from it.

I think Chris got paid by gova to buy those shares causing a buying stampead, hence giving KQ hope

Eventually some sonko will come and invest even more, just because he did.

the short sightedness here needs spectacles of high resolution.. KQ will turn a profit in H1 2015/2016. And Kirubi doesnt own 10m KQ shares only. People need to read annual reports and stop guesswork

COOP 255,000 ABP 15.85; IMH 5,000 ABP 35.55; KQ 604,200 ABP 6.96; MTN 23,800 ABP 5.20

Reading up on KQ's 4 way zero cost collar hedge strategy. Interesting. Effectively manages volatility.
