I thought Greece was using the Euro which is a shared currency. This is factually different from kenya which uses KES alone. Kenya uses USD on most of its debt. Local debt is lower than external in total scale. Greece defaulted on a debt of €1.6 billion to the IMF in 2015. The basics are the same. Once you borrow in excess of repayment ability, default happens KQ ABP 4.26
