Thank God Djourou got sent off, i think he was also struggling with a groin injury. Wenger simply has to get a fullback hata kama its on loan. Speaking of full backs i think Coquelin was fantastic last night, this kid is one for the future. He can play in almost all positions. Interesting how the big teams are dropping points against the minnows....hata Man Utd at home against Blackburn kwanza on SAF's birthday! It doesn't get easier for anyone, after the FA cup mambo itakuwa ngumu.

I think Wenger got his substitutions wrong again, you cannot replace Theo/Gervinho with Rosicky and Benayoun. We needed players with pace to try and catch Fulham on the counter, when will Oxlade-Chmaberlain be unleashed.

I'll reserve my comments about De Gea for now!

Arsenal lost due to lots of wasted chances from Gervinho it seems like fatigue has caught up with him too soon,he offered nothing in yesternights game.
@Taz coquelin seems to be on the right path and he impressed alot.
Number 4 is still in reach n we are not giving up.

Monday, 2 January 2012 Barclays Premier League Results
Aston Villa 0-2 Swansea
Blackburn 1-2 Stoke
Fulham 2-1 Arsenal
QPR 1-2 Norwich
Wolves 1-2 Chelsea

Very interesting results. Could have been a 2-1 win for away teams but for two silly mistakes.

Mistake number 1: There could have been five 2-1 scorelines but Aston Villa did not receive them memo, so they failed to act by not scoring the one goal they needed for that to be achieved.

mistake number 2: There could have been five home losers but Fulham did not read the script well.

When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

Happy New Year Ma Fans...it's going to be a fantastic sporting year...Euro Cup and Olympics to distract us in between football seasons and AFCON to make Jan a bit more bearable.

I'm happy to report that I got the Arsenal-QPR and Swansea-Spurs prediction spot onsmile

Still wondering how we lost to Blackburn (De Gea and makeshift defense) but I felt a bit better after City lost.Still Fergie was right in punishing Rooney,Evans and Gibson for breaking a curfew, even if it perhaps cost us. Mancini rightfully rested some players and Balotelli got a knock but Sunderland were resolute, even if their goal was marginally offside. That win and the shut out by West Brom will give a lot of psychological boost to teams facing City. For my team,I hope we'll go on another unbeaten run like the one we had after the thrashing by City - Anderson is back and his impact was immediate.

Jana Lampard was lucky to be in the pitch when he scored,am surprised AVB now thinks Chelsea are back in the title race after he looked sceptic following the loss to Villa. Villa fans booed off McLeish, forgetting they had beaten Chelsea at the bridge 2 days earlier - human nature.

@Taz you're a hard man to understand, why would you be ok with Djourou's dismisal? It was harsh and maybe you guys would have at least drawn with 11 men.Huyo Coquelin yuko poa but Gervinho can't finish to save his life! He'll be very tired after AFCON

Next few games:

Man City vs Kop - 2:2
Spurs vs West Brom - 3:1
Newcastle vs Utd - 1:2 - am that confident of a response

I feel City will respond at home but the game could be decided by a bad decision - the Kop are tough to beat with Gerrard

@ Smano....Whether the red card was harsh or not Djourou is always a disaster waiting to happen....always makes me nervous when he plays. Fulham players also seem to have realised he was our weakest link because almost all their chances were coming from our right back.

Wenger needs to sign a fullback to cover for Gibbs and Sagna but i don't think he'll do that as long as Djourou keeps playing. Last night's result was disappointing but we have some really tough fixtures coming up, we need to play everyone in their natural positions.

We are somehow lucky all the top teams dropped points over the weekend.

Dalglish is really a hypocrite,in his pre match conference he's talking about the way City have a good team but have a lot of money, who spent more between City and the Kop in the summer transfers?Nonesense!Even though City have spent more overall,it is only a sore loser who talks about another team's fortunes - Fergie has tried to remain competitive despite the entry of Roman and Sheikh Mansour.Step up your game or shut up!Nkt!Hope they do the job tonight though,Dalglish has a knack for good strategies against big teams.I hope the EPL remains this competitive, where 6 teams vie for 1st to 4th spot, very nail biting

The EPL will likely be decided on the last match of the season.
And definitely one of the finalist team will not be a TAZ FC.
