Pride of Africa should not be flying to Mogadishu. Violence against the government of solmalia and the occupying forces is the order of the day. KQ is making itself a target of islamists.

We have daily flights by Turkish to Mogadishu and 3 times a week by Ethiopian. Dont ask how i know

Remember Kenya has other underlying issues with some elements in the said destination

Remember in 2016 they tried to blow a Turkish airline plane using some briefcase bomb but didn't work. ET employs crazy security at Mogadishu Airport.

Who said KQ is flying to Mogadishu?smile

Hehe. Management are yet to confirm officially via media release but it's already spilled out https://en.halbeeg.com/2...mogadishu-by-next-week/

Meanwhile, Mike Maina Kamau top individual KQ shareholder, 8 year case against GoK in destruction of his 8 bedroom Spring Valley mansion to be heard next week at the Environmental Court

Thisis a classic lawsuit and I'm eagerly waiting to see the outcome. A real test of jurisprudence in Kenya.

Using myStocks to chart KQ vs KK [1 Dec 2013 to 12 Nov 2018]

KK +103% + dividends (extra cream)
KQ -11%

Choices have consequences.

Burundi, Kenya fight over aircraft deployment

Were JJ's flights in addition to KQ's flights to BUJ or was JJ replacing KQ on this route?
These Burundians are cry-babies given it is a broke-ass country.

Those boys explode bombs like they are popping corn. They killed 50 and injured 100 after friday prayers last week.

Its sad really. Though the AMISOM security forces are not asleep in MGQ, especially at the fortified greenzone and the Aden Adde airport, Hargesia airport has never had an incident while Kismayo and Berbera landing strips are no go zones. Of note is that KQ in 2006 was undertaking daily flights to MGQ. Liwe liwalo. 15.11.2018 we go live.. Get rich or die trying

This ties in perfectly with the JFK route, high risk high returns. If KQ doesn't turn a profit by H1 2019, I will sell at whatever prevailing price.. Mungu mbele

Yes. We already saw the KQ operating profit recently.. So right now it's all about the bottom line. With the recent moves in Cape Town, Mauritius, Gabon, USA and now Somalia, the revenues can only face one way as there are now only two serious African carriers

KQ will rue the day that Ngunze sold off the prime slots slots at LHR.

Kenya's #1 export market.
Kenya's top 3 tourism source market.
Lots of diasporans in the London area.
LHR has excellent connections to North America and Europe. It rivals AMS and CDG.
