For the FXD2/2018/10 bond, the coupon is 12.502% which means after WT you only get 11.2518%.

I succeeded in getting this one.Sent the RTGS to cbk yesterday.Marks my second paper.
Thanks to @Maka for ispiration.

How much in face value did you put in?
Otherwise you would have been better off buying njugu karanga with your 100K shillings.

Is WHT a final tax on the interest on bills and bonds? Will I still be required to add the interest to my other income and do the tax bracket calculations then deduct tax withheld?

Your question is poorly presented.
What's the question?

Not a tax expert... I think it's final tax and you don't have to declare it anywhere that's why you get that ka certificate showing you have already paid it... They should stop sending those things they come 1 year late...

Njugu karanga is not bad.The difference is that in the t.bond and stocks,my money is working for me while in njugu karanga,i will have to work for money.I prefer my money working for me as my target is to attain financial freedom.

Does anyone there have a spreadsheet or anything that can track and record bond issues, interest, maturity dates, alerts etc? I'll be grateful.

You have to do it manually... I have a personal tracker...

Can send that to you... The CBK website this days give maturities for monthly...

For the veterans in bond trading, I have 2 questions

1. What additional bank charges have you experienced when receiving interest/principal from CBK?
2. How easy is it to sell the Tbill or Bond on Secondary Market? Can I get my money at whatever prevailing price in say 1 week in event of an emergency?
