Accounting error.

She says they should raise a demand note, and she will refund the cash.

As was mentioned somewhere, 66 meetings where she has been paid a sitting allowance withOUT attendance, each at Kshs 80,000, means the total theft is Kshs 5,280,000/=, this coming from the judiciary's chief accounting officer.

This alone is enough to justify her prosecution.

somebody educate me on this one its a bit grey

I know high school / college principals serve as Board secretaries do they earn allowances when the boards meet?

What about other parastatals / corporations do MDs and Corp Secretaries pick allowances during board and subcommittee meetings

What is GBS's role when seen from the foregoing and the practice elsewhere? She could argue she was facilitating the interviews and dint necessarily have to sit inside- just playing devils advocate and checking all the bases

Any knowledgeable people in the house?

@Siringi, Its called "SITTING" allowance. How is one to earn it if she does bot "sit inside?".

Is this your way of ensuring your 30% PAYE,16% Vat, Railway Levy etc is well spend?

Man up dude, i hate cowards.

You are out to defend her yet you won't admit it. There is nothing wrong in defending her.

Shollei: You can trace with precision the source of the email, even if you engage a forensic expert.

She doesn't seem to understand that the point is not the content of the emails.

It is illegal to hack into other people's emails. It is even a National Security Issue to hack into the emails of the Chief Justice.

I'm starting to wonder if Ahmed was right when he said she wasn't qualified for the job.

He actually said that Shollei was not fit for DCJ but ok for registrar!!!!

It all about competition in interviews. You may be ranked 1st in one and 2nd in another depending on the competencies required for the two jobs or do you want to convince the two jobs (Registrar Vs Deputy Chief Justice) require the same competencies??

Jeff Koinange really went easy on her, it was actually embarassing.

The lady stole anything she could get her hands on. I bet if you went to her house you could get Judiciary branded spoons, lates and cups if there are any.

I am no fan of Ahmednassir coz he rarely does his homework, but atleast he levelled specific accusations against her, which Jeff didn't bother to redirect to Shollei when she came on later.

With Caro Mutoko on Kiss 100

@mkeiyd am playing devils advocate

We separate the office of CRJ from Gladys shollei and discuss issues and protect the next CRJ, and CEOs of other public bodies it could be me you know shhh am not telling but do I say.

am on record saying we need to ask ourselves not just GBS, what is going on at NSSF? NHIF etc

How do we protect civil servants from witch hunt?

IFF GBS stole and broke laws (we deal with her properly)
But lets debate objectively and see this clearly without the Supreme Court hearing and inauguration of UMK embittering us.

I would wish the following professional bodies and Gava reps held a public debate point by point on the allegations and responses by GBS Vs JSC

1. The Law Society of Kenya ICJ FIDA
2. Transparency International
3. ICPAK / KENAO
4. KISM / PPOA
5. Association of HR practioners
6. Architects valuers and Qs akina @A4 though they have a biaised interest in this matter
7. AG / Public Service commission and Performance Contracting office /

there are weighty issues here which shall continue haunting us until we debate the peupe and professionally without side shows

wapi a clear copy of the allegations? JSC promised to post na sioni

Exactly…Tena stealing without shame. She could even have been stashing office toilet papers in her handbag!!! And why hasn’t those media houses asked her to clarify on claims she made of meeting she did not attend? How do you get your junior to approve a salary advance?
…Jeff failed terribly…Larry Madowo brought Matsanga and Mutua awhile back on his show at the same time and handled it very well…

I agree with the Grand Mullah that the lady was totally unsuitable for the job. There was a long list of financial malpractices. She should end up in prison, just like former KTB boss Dr. Ochieng.
