Is the one who supply know than the one who actually utilizes?
I'm telling you I've donated so much this month too.
For example, I bought loads of car full load of foodstuffs, worth about sh28,000 this time. Are you saying my family consumed it plus the usual over sh10K monthly shopping?
Please assumptions are very dangerous
In Islam, Zakat is one of the five pillars This is outside the charity I mentioned above.
Zakat has been mentioned, alongside with daily Prayers, in many places and many times in the Quran.
Allah has commanded Muslims: "...and establish regular Salaat and GIVE regular Zakat..." are referred to in many parts of the Quran.
From this Muslims know that, after the prayers, Zakat is the most important act in Islam.
The payment of Zakat is compulsoryon the extra wealth i.e. which is equal to or excess of some minimum value.
And this value must have been possessed for a full Islamic year.
So this cash, or stock or bonds, or other assets is added up.
And if it is equal TO or in excess of the minimum specified value, then Zakat is due at the rate of 2.5%.
Example: 2.5% of sh100,000 = sh2,500.
2.5% of sh1,000,000 = sh25,000.
