Can you imagine I had to go through my records to confirm this but the oil price turmoil dented most global listed airline's stock price potentials. Why are they taking so long to get the rights issues underway, my money is on next year btw

From the look of things amongst them operational punctuality, share price and general investor confidence,KQ is best off not bringing this rights issue to the market. It appears rather obvious that it would fall/fail straight on it's face.

First of all KQ was not the worst perfoming stock at the NSE in 2011 but it was the worst perfomer among the 20 companies that make up the NSE20 index, note there is the difference between NSE and NSE20 Index. Secondly rights issues are negatively correlated to share price in fact a stock should fall upon announcement of rights issues with magnitude depending on econ enviro look at Coop, Cfc, KCB, Stan etc Thirdly high oil price+weak Sh=operational losses but hedge gains will save KQ.

hmmm... A baggage of filthy corruption allegations brought onto the front porch of EAPCC's board.
What impact will this have on the otherwise 'much respected' Naikuni?

Snapshots:
After the company’s tender committee rejected the increase, the board granted the variation which ended up costing the company Sh74 million.
“The suspended board overruled the tender committee and awarded a price increase for the delivered products as well as for further products to be delivered,” Mr Kingi said.

Mr Kingi said that the Kenya National Audit Office had raised a query over the expenditure of Sh13 million which was overpaid to the chairman, Mark ole Karbolo, and the suspended directors.
