Petrol consumption jumps 32pc on weak oil prices

"Petrol consumption in Kenya jumped 31.5 per cent in the first half of the year"
"Consumption of diesel, used to power trucks, buses, vans and factories was up 23 per cent"
"Cooking gas consumption jumped 83 per cent to 81,356 tonnes on lower crude prices."

I assume this trend [of YOY increase] will continue in 2H with more cars on the road and prices remaining lower than they were in 2015.

Ka-ching! Ka-ching!

Our Somali brothers have really invested in opening new petrol stations along major highways.

Total is losing and may lose more in future due to its involvement in oil pipeline politics.
Customer is the KING. Kenyans are peculiar and will drop Total at the word go for such behaviour. We love our country and we do not entertain Total behaviour.

As Kenya's oil consumption expands Somalis will keep opening more gasoline stations successfully squeezing traditional rivals out of market niche.

2016 2Q 15.5% [Business Daily]

Seems KK is doing a-OK.
