They would not even DARE name anyone, unless when inside the protective walls of parliament. And parliament is now in recess. Called a red herring to remain relevant and appear to be fighting for the people . Owners of the firms are contained in company documents registered offshore.

So suddenly we want to comply with international law because there are 'consequences'.......abk

How exactly are we going to afford this? Is there a kitty somewhere for monumental gaarment messes? Ama tusahau laptops na SGR?

Boss, read my posts carefully. With a court ruling, and no further avenues for appeal, we are going to pay. Either by sending the money or via attachment and auction of government assets, but pay we must. And Kenya DOES honour international court RULINGS.
just for clarity, I am not saying I support the payment, I am saying that there is no choice in the matter.

@jmbada, i hear you.

at the end of day, this is really sad. my point was how gaarment is so quick to now comply when they fought tooth, nail and jet to fight 'international law' that kenya had signed up to in other matters. #selectivecompliance

I don't even get the point of this post! Just because someone drew a cartoon and created some bullet points Titled "Fact..." then one is supposed to believe it? If this was the case, we would not need national audits and accounting systems, just good cartoonists and someone who can type bullet points!

This is where politicians makes one wonder what stuff they are made of. Why say they will instead of just revealing? nkt.

I thought they are well known i.e Jimmy Wanjigi,Alfred Getonga,Dave Mwangi etc.

IN March 2006 Uhuru Kenyatta, now President but then Public Accounts Committee chairman, presented a report in Parliament naming the individuals allegedly behind the Anglo Leasing scandal.

Other than individuals linked to the companies that received the contracts, the PAC report referred to various local individuals.

During the PAC investigations, former Governance and Ethics Secretary John Githongo named businessman Jimmy Wanjigi, President Kibaki's Personal Secretary Alfred Getonga, Internal Security Minister Chris Murungaru, Internal Security PS Dave Mwangi and Finance Secretary Joseph Oyula.
