The business is no longer profitable coz for one the cost of let's say layers mash has almost doubled while the s.p of eggs remain constant. The other day i took my eggs to Kisumu where i previously boosted of regular customers but on reaching there to my amazement, eggs were flooding from Ug. I had to sell at a throw away price. Until the feeds prices subsidizes am not going back soon.

For those who maybe interested, I remember my mum used to cut pieces of aloe vera in the water that the layers were drinking and this would keep diseases away and even when she had to give them antibiotics, the aloe vera would reduce the recovery period and they were still laying eggs.
