Very interesting & sad article @ the same time. I have to commend the writer, he knows his stuff..a good relief from the usual washed up articles from BD-Africa.

amazing how easy it is to mislaed the public...KES is freely floated, the only way that one can curb spec attacks is by controlling it

I tell you for sure if our currency was never opened up to market forces in the early 90s, we would be doing pre 60s USDKES!

instead of adressing the root cause for this weakening the regulator points fingers! so what do we have now? an illiquid market KES still under pressure, main looser is larger economy, KES used to be the 2nd most liquid ccy in africa now even TZS is more liquid, what a shame!
