The Hon William Ruto, MP Eldoret North is right in his argument b4 the ICC that the people that hold the biggest responsibility on the PEV are the PM & More so the President of the republic of Kenya.

The Bourne of contention is. Why did Kenyan people fight?. Who was in-charge of the country?, in-charge of Military, Police,GSU?. Why didnt they who "lost" GO TO COURT?.

WHY DID THEY DISBAND THE ECK?, WHICH DECLARED THEM WINNERS?. And yet continue to hold office based on the said result?

@Jaina,
Very narrow thought....The ICC does not get into the intricacies of "why it happened"........They deal with the "organizing" and "funding".
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

@ Guka & Kivairu.

Look at it objectively. Without recourse for your tribe or mine, narrow thinking or wide, whatever mechanism they use(Hague), they should look at the bigger picture. The more reason I think this Hague business is WASTE OF TIME.

My grand parents property was burned. The people who did it, i know them from childhood. Why should ruto bear responsibility on their behave?.

Those people from Greater central province and more particularly the president himself are to blame.

I feel bad, when i see people who lost nothing, who sat in the fence when the country was burning, who "act" as sympathizers, behaving as if Kenya revolves around them.

i still think whatever happened in Kenya is not in the range of cases that the ICC should investigate or waste its time on.

@ masukuma

Tell the likes of Njung'e that there is more to life than persecuting one individual. Its a shame, that somebody who has problems with the wife "of the country" is made to be the C in F.

So because an 'election was stolen' aggrieved people go and burn people to death and claim they are not guilty? and that they are not responsible?

@Jaina, na Masukuma: I beg to differ, look at the mandate of the ICC and you will discover that it does not address political issues. Viz why the chaos happened, you will agree with me that what happened was criminal and aptly qualify for crimes against humanityPray (Kiambaa church arson and Nakuru slaughter) are good examples that qualify Ocampo's intervention.

Read Njung'e's lines carefully and if you are objective enough your idea about WR are empty rhetoric. Its too late in the day for WR to introduce "porojo" when he is on record for funding, inciting and organizing mass murder and evictions. Unless he has credible evidence that indeed Ubako and Tinga also did fund, organize and incite mass murder and ethnic cleansing his will remain porojo, vuvuzela kind of noise only good to his sycophants' ears.

Why people fought, Jaina this debate ends up like the chicken and egg allegory. A few questions beg why the worst violence was in Rift Valley: what did the poor peasants have to do with the stolen votes?? Liar Why didn't the "warriors" got for Kivuitu himself? Since when did mass murder become a way of sorting political scores??

Finally mass murder is what really took place, for it to acquire the scale that it did a lot and indeed complex logistical planning had to be done. Did WR participate in these activities where RAO and EMK his accomplices?

WR's plot is to bog down ICC investigations with political circuses that we are all used to and this will not get him anywhere. WR is a haunted man and the heat has just started, like someone remarked he will fry in his own fat.

looking at the cases ICC has handled before, the greatest case lies in the fact that someone was not able to do something when he should have, in most cases it's the commander in chief.
in this regard i hold the country's administration fully responsible. the 5 provincial commisioners are in deep shiet, wait and you will see. criticise me using facts and not emotions.
