The symbols were conveniently/cunningly chosen.

GREEN = PEACE.
RED = DANGER

Shouldnt the proponents been given the chance to choose the symbols they desire instead of an unilateral imposition by IIEC ?

Forget about the traffic lights idea - No proponents should have been given White which is more neutral and also bears the connotation of peace.

Obviously it could be argued that the No proponents' case is that the draft represents danger. However characterising the No proponents as the danger itself is what is more likely to happen from the Yes side.

@Mpenzi. I agree. The opponents and proponents should have been allowed to choose the symbols. The choice by IIEC is leaning on one side.

green is go, red is stop.

Who are the proponents???
This is a constitution for all Kenyans. Proponents are you and me unless you mean we hold a referendum to chose the symbols for the referendum.

BBI will solve it

@2012
stop trying to split hairs - we know that there are 'leaders' of each camp - whether it is the govt-lead group or the church-led group.

hmmm no traffic lights in my shags hence many may not grasp the whole 'traffic lights coding' idea. IIEC is Biased, lets start with all the so called negative attributes associated with both colours... red is probably the only colour that would compete with black... it reprents bloodshed, ill omen, periods etc etc the only negative attribute of the colour green is jealousy. but what would anyone expect when the 'farasi wawili' are on one team?
