Of the 10,000 elite athletes competing in the Rio Olympics, it's safe to assume none travelled here more comfortably and with more pampering than the 229 horses in the Equestrian events. These "equine athletes," as they are referred to, did not fly coach. They did not stand in long security lines, face flight delays or have to bring their own snacks on board.
They flew here nonstop from Miami, London and Liege, Belgium, in customised stalls on 767 and 777 cargo planes that accommodate up to 34 horses per flight. The transport reportedly costs between US$20,000 to US$25,000 (NZ$28,000 to $35,000) per horse, and most of that is covered by the Olympic Organising Committee.

Can we pass on our Mpigs and IOC/NOCK joyriders costs and bills to the IOC as well "The purpose of bureaucracy is to compensate for incompetence and lack of discipline." James Collins

The great Simaro once sung a song in which he said " Kinshasa bisengo mingi basi batondi" Which roughly translates to "Life is good in Kinshasa for there are many hot women in this town"So here are some hot chicas at the Olympics to make you wish you were at the village Khaddi Sagnia (Sweden) Long Jump ![](http://iloveposts.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/b7bfad46cb71a8098bbd2207ffb0b8bc.600x.jpg) Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (Canada) Basketball ![](http://www.theprovince.com/cms/binary/1706448.jpg) Jennifer Abel (Canada) Diving ![](http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XYB_lwDQqS4/UB9WzsgY_iI/AAAAAAAAAB4/BcvEypJtNdo/s1600/Jennifer-Abel-ASS4.jpg)

Olympic village ni kuzuri. This is Patricia Mamona Mbengani. Triple jumper for Portugal. She is one of the reasons why coach John Anzrah was so desperate to travel to Rio even without accreditation. Given her name and current location, I think she is from the BaKongo people of Angola as opposed to the Bakongo of Zaire or Congo -Brazza ![](http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SCkPwRQPZX4/VQiw_1S7FmI/AAAAAAAAGso/ewTG9EeNFYA/s1600/08.jpg)
