Kenyan politicians ni bure kabisa.....how can you fight to devolve health then fly to United Kingdom to treat a broken toe???? Not even Cancer!

Does it mean, the county government you head is so bankrupt on ideas (not cash) to improve orthopedic services?

It reminds me of one Beth and Peter who were heading the health ministry but went abroad for treatment. Anyway, I felt for the two, cancer having being a kinda 'relatively' new disease amongst the rich and a ki-ghost killer amongst the poor. Felt for them but did not excuse them.

Imagine James Mwangi opening a fixed account at Barclays or Bob Collymore having an airtel line and as the only line...

Or even cooking food in your house then going out to eat at a hotel!!!!

The logic behind this post is suspect.

If Ruth Odinga is paying for her own hospital stay then I applaud her 100%

However if like Beth Mugo and Anyang Nyongo, she is being treated at taxpayer expense then shame on her. This is especially true for Beth Mugo because she comes from a fabulously wealthy family.

But the bigger shame is on Kenyans including those on wazua who are hell bent on voting on tribal basis instead of voting on issues like better hospital.

If anyone asked me, the government should do away with NHIF or health insurance for all people under taxpayers payroll and instead offer free treatment to all govt employees at any public hospital, maybe just maybe this could help turn things around.

If she paid her money in that hospital then no problem

I am reminded of a claim that went like "Oh, lets vote for Mr. (insert fav politician here) because he is stinking rich already and so will have little inclination to corruption when he is in power."

You head Kenya Airways but prefer to fly British Airways. Well its okay as long as you use your own money for the air fare!
or
You head Mumias Sugar but prefer to use Brazilian sugar- its just fine - just use your funds!
Just as absolute power corrupts leaders, so does absolute fanaticism blind the people from logic
