TCL has that huge bond coming due. If the convertible bondholders do not exercise their right to buy the shares [why should they pay much more than the current price?] then not only does TCL have to pay it in USD, there's the accrued interest. Ouch.
I think the logical course of action is to either sell some assets OR offer the bondholders a lower exercise price instead of TCL looking for $75mn + interest. Raising $75mn is not easy under current market conditions for a firm that hasn't had (or hope to have) decent profits for a while.
I am not in TCL's leaking boat but I like EAC which is a lifeboat.
