schengen visa

my friend was deported from germany in 2005 after he overstayed and since he has been in nairobi doing business. now he have got new avenues in germany business wise but he fears that the finger prints he was taken are still valid. what happened in such a case. can he be able to travel again to schengen states.

That's not enough information.

Ask your friend is he was Ausgeweisen (Deported) or if he Abgeschoben (removed). There is a very big difference.

If deported, then according to German immigration law, he has no chance whatsoever of getting back except in humanitarian cases.

If removed, let him find out from the German authorities how long his ban is (should be over by now or latest next year).

the guy had seeked for asylum in germany but the case was not determined. he disappeared to Uk where he was apprehended and taken back to germany ,later deported to kenya..all places fingers were taken.

why did they have to take his fingers? how many of his fingers were taken? is he going back to look for his fingers?

i suspect that his fingerprints are still valid, in fact they last a lifetime except in the unfortunate case of disfigurement

Bad but doable.

He needs the services of an immigration lawyer to remove his name and fingerprints as an undesirable from the Schengen Information System.

Curious: has the German government been refunded the deportation costs yet? If not, that's the first step.

if this guy is going for business and he qualify for the visa why should they deny him visa.
is true after 10 yrs the finger prints are destroyed. we need exparts here.
