Manchester United have received a world-record,unconditional offer of £80million for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

'Ronaldo is a freak of a footballer...this is a wide footballer who scores goals at the rate of a centre forward...23 goals in 04...42 in 2008 and 26 last season. No matter how SAF spends the money he will struggle to find a wide player who scores over 20 goals a season. The loss of Ronaldo means that an already fairly pedestrian attacking unit has a disconcerting lack of pace and directness. It would be premature to damn SAF for the sale but this is the FIRST time he has sold a truly World class player in his prime.' SOURCE: GUARDIAN

It is also being reported that SAF has failed to convince Tevez to remain at Old Trafford.

The deal was too good to refuse.With 80m pounds,Man U can get the services of Villa/Benzema & Ribery and still have some change for a defensive player.I'm not a Man U fan but i pity Real[Perez to be exact],if the second-wave galacticos don't deliver,woe unto you Perez.This time round the fans will chase him faster than last time.

I honestly do not mind the sale of CR7,he did what he did for us and we are happy for that

However there comes a time when somethings have to come to an end...his loyalty has always been questionable much as he is a terrific player,his heart was not in OT.

His character would not have lasted another season...for those that are United Lovers you can attest.

Bottom line players like Becks,Ruud boy left and we thought WTF United is gone...
but some how we have come out of the woods to win stuff....

So guys keep your eyes open for the next superb player at OT...it may take a while though...

Ronaldo all the best in spain...

NB: As for Tevez...Just go gooo gooo,si kwa ubaya but when a player starts mummuring to the press,that is not a player for any team not even Arsenal...despite any success or how crucial you have been to the team gooo goooo.

Viva United.

I think Tevez woes stem from that Kia guy.SAF just chose to 'retaliate' unfairly by not giving Tevez a better deal and play time.SAF might also have had in mind Berba,a 30m buy who just jay-walks on the field,had to be 'made' the better of the two.Technically Berba tops Tevez but his work rate and tracking scraps the bottom.Back to CR7,if Real doesn't perform,he will be on the move again.At 24,his wages can only be sustained by trophies[not trophy]

Ronny's exit is a big relief to Arsenal,Chelsi n Liverpul. But watch out,another star will be born next season at OT. a player wu never thinks he can be substituted n wants to play all games including community friendlies.....can try that at Real.We shall miss this boy but this opens oppurtunities for others

It's not where yu are,but where yu want to be.

@Taz...ooh really....

Perez would be nuts to spend 227M pounds on 3 players......140M can pass for now!

Bayern is askin for 87M,....we all know that cant be,wont be

Valencia,Benzema and Joao sounds like a full re-structure for manchester....Ribery too.

nini iko????

It is not the first time that a big team lost a star,but the team always gets over the star. Am not a man u fan but I know in the past they've lost Cantona,RVN,Keane,Bechham,etc and always recover from the 'loss'. Even Arsenal lost Thierry and the young players performed better in his absence.

With those mind boggling figures,naona kama Arsenal will not buy players of impact. They may have to stick with juveniles for a while longer!!!!

Ikonini...

This guy,who is also a billionaire,is known to purchase players from his own pocket (please note he is only the President and not the owner). Real madrid made 130 million pounds last season from TV rights only...so i think they can afford anyone.

Perez has already named his Galacticos......Kaka,Ronaldo,Ribery,Xabi Alonso,David Silva,David Villa,Raul Albiol.....they have all expressed their desire to play for madrid

BTW...Man United are reported to be targeting Gattuso..

@Taz......Gattuso?sick....be serious for once!!!!

Ronaldo can leave......i believe he has achieved everything he could at Man u....it is a right of individuals to relish new challenges so long as it towards their lifelong goals.....holding him up as someone suggested last season amounts to paid servitude!

Peace to all men of Goodwill
