Did you know many African countries continue to pay colonial tax to France since their independence till today!
think about it - do you know a former french colony that is doing well? (Rwanda perhaps) When the french left Guinea they carried everything and destroyed everything that could not be carried.

Interesting. Who to blame? Not France. France important obligation is serving interest of her citizens. Which according to the article they are doing wonderfully. I place the Blame squarely on Africans people

Wasn't there a story in our local media a while back of Kenya paying pensions for some retired colonial-era British officers?

Koigi, when he was an Ass. Min. mentioned the same about Kenya and UK. Is it true?

The RPF war against Habyarimana was opposed by France who saw it as an Anglophone rebel invasion of a Francophone nation. They believed the Ugandan raised RPFF leadership would turn the nation into an English speaking one. They were right. Rwanda today is English speaking!

Which can only be a good thing. I always wondered why, generally, the former French colonies seemed to fare much worse than former British ones in the post-independence period. Going through this article seems to answer that to a large extent.
