Is there such a bank in Kenya? Want to make some money as I have some healthy seeds that I don't need,having closed the chapter on family size! Am also curious on how they are extracted and the purchase price per mililitre! And what are requirements for the seller?

i think a sperm bank exists in Kenya,i remember reading about it sometimes back. I however doubt wether you can make serious money from such a venture. By the way how sure are you that you have 'healthy seeds' given that you have already closed the chapter? I would however be interested to know how the 'seeds' are harvested - are you required to 'come'? 'It requires a lot of carefulness to kill the fly that perches on the scrotum' If you are an eagle don't hang around with chickens; chickens don't fly....

@miser,
Your seeds may be good but you may be lacking the qualities a lady looking for AI services wants such as education level,talent,height,physique complexion etc.........

Just out of curiosity,is there anyone using these banks? As in to withdraw not to deposit... I would expect there are many willing depositors than 'withdrawers'. In any case,why would someone want to get a kid of someone she has no idea of,their genetic background,character etc? You could end up getting a 'wanugu' gene and start hiding your handbags when you get to the house...... aaaiiiih asha!!!!!!

What about surrogacy at Nairobi Hospital.Anyone who knows how it works i.e Terms and Conditions,Fee e.t.c. I can't imagine carrying a pregnancy to term only to give away the kid for a small fee.

@wendz - very valid argument but I think that is why we have such banks in the first place. If you want to be a single parent but when you look around,you know all the possible 'donors' are no good drunks,players,idiots....(aside from inferior physical and intellectual attributes) perhaps a sperm bank - one that takes comprehensive bio data - is a good option. You can define certain parameters and then a match is made.
The problem with equality is that we desire that it be with those that have more than us rather that those that have less

@Djinn
mmmmh,yeah,could be. but just wondering,if all those around me are drunks,playes,idiots etc - dont you think i should actually be looking within me and see if i am not same as them? kinda your reflection,you know. i tend to think you attract those who are like you - kinda... not all,but majority because of where,how and with whom you hang out.
by the way,if i want to be a single mom (no strings attached) would i really care that a guy is a player as long as he is cleared medically?(personally i am not sure if i wouldnt care by the way).
I doubt many of the self respecting guys (depending on what the woman is looking for) will go donating their seeds all over the place for everyone and anyone to pick..... such guys,i would imagine,would be very particular in the kind of woman they can get a child with - my thinking.

@Wendz - I meant player,drunk,idiot - to the extent that certain traits are genetically passed on - I think some DNA carries on and on - viiolence,short temper,infidelity,etc. In which case,then you need the sperm bank to be really really thorough. I accept that we usually attract like-minded people - but that is for our social lives - we probably do not want them for life partners/husbands/fathers - just for fun. And especially not to sire a child....my two pesos

I heard from a reliable source that they source donations from university students studying medicine and other related courses which require high intellect. Feel the fear but do it anyway. It's amazing what you can achieve when you get rid of fear.

@xtina
thats very enlightening.... i wouldnt have thought of all those reasons.... trust me... So for me as the seeker,will i get to know the reason why the donor donated or is there history about the donor and who verifies that this person has told the truth?

They pay 3k per 'donation' for a maximum of two donations.But one should think of spiritual and moral ramifications of selling part of your soul to the 'dogs'.This is nothing but whoredom.An abomination to God and to fellow men. How can people permit this sin against the unborn to continue?It is wrong for a child to be born without a father,a human right violation without being the product of love but rather the result of a A.I. I feel sorry for kids born this way,out of selfishness of man.How will they feel when they discover their mothers practised whoredom to concieve them? May God have mercy on us. @sheep,
thats strong.... well,i know for sure i wouldnt do that but but as @Djinn indicated what would you advise a lady who has not met a man of her life,is in her heading to her 40s or worse,has clocked 40,and wants a child? (time here is of essence). In an ideal world,every child should be born in a family set up of father and mother and full of love and all. but we know we do not live in this ideal world.
What is a better evil - getting a baby through AI or trying it out with any guy and hopefully it works the first time coz it might end up a repeat for several more times?

@wendz I believe for a woman over 40,the best thing for her is to heal the world i.e adoption.Rescue those innocent kids from the concentration camps called 'children homes' and love them,that way she will be part of the solution rather than creating a whole lot of mess by AI. hahahahahahaha.......rather than creating a whole lot of mess by AI
You have a point there... Adoption could be an option at that age - may be problem is all these younger career ladies or what someone has called 'independent women' in another thread who just want to have a baby and no commitment... unfortunately she can only adopt girls. if she wanted a mixed family,then no option... unless the law has changed.

:o) - I'm wondering,do such banks have a night deposit box and does one insert his...er,card,and then press 'deposit'...wait a few pleasurable minutes while the machine processes....then issue a deposit slip?

aih...Ms sheep....that's very strong language for a lady to use.....don't judge.....one thing I know,it is easy for people who have their own kids to tell those who do not to adopt.....anyway,I'm not privy to the exact process but I was told you get what you ask for; if one wants a biracial kid all they have to do is ask if white/Asian/Arab seed is present,then they will be shown the details of the donors......
