Musalia to beat Tinga? Are you joking? Musalia is a non-starter and the worst mistake ODM would ever make if they fronted him as their presidential candidate. BBI will solve it :)

Musalia has a bigger chance of getting to state house than Raila. If ODM is strategic enough, this is the man they should pick. Listening to Jakoyo Midiwo, who is Raila's cousin hence privileged with information, over the weekend I could tell there is something going on in the maisha bora party.

Come to think of it, if MM became the candidate and not tinga, the party can get a wider appeal. Even me can consider giving him my vote. But I know that wont happen. Mm wont, cant leave tinga For in him (Jesus) we live and move and have our being-Acts 17:28

The truth, MM is partially retarded since childhood, thus the need to be permanently led. He cannot lead anyone anywhere? He is in the same class as Bufwoli except he was raised in a privileged family. So, it is the high time he linked up with Karua for a change. By inference, the man is all that Mr Phantom is not: an untrustworthy radical, divisive, too many enemies, a dictator, and a persistent liar...Gaitho dialogues.

Musalia can only beat Tinga in a movie! braza/sisto lolesT... MM stands a big chance of upsetting the form books if nominations are done at county levels. rift valley iko na watu wa ruto, mt.kenya region iko na watu wa UK, etc, etc. ODM members from counties in these regions can be manipulated to vote for MM in the nominations. tuko pamoja? And aren't we talking of democratic processes? If Mudavadi beats Tinga-that's if he can beat him- in the nominations why shouldn't he stand for president? Am sure the other side would love for Mudavadi to beat Odinga.

Does anyone in Wazua, and indeed anywhere believe these musical chairs? We are in 2007 all over again. Remember RO egged on useless fellows to vie for the presidency so that he can have a show election at Kasarani where he would automatically win. It is the same game all over again. MMs bid has the tacit approval of RO. I heard last week the chairman of the Luo council of elders asking Henry Kosgey to also vie for the presidency but in ODM. The idea is to have a full crown of ODM presidential aspirants who will 'gracefully' concede defeat during the final nomination and then turn back and praise RO to the heavens. We have been there before. Great men are not always wise, neither do the aged understand judgement...

@kingfisa, only a miracle would make Mudavadi the winner. Why are you assuming that Raila is not popular by himself?I think @pound has nailed it. It is just being done for the show. If ODM nominates Musalia, then PNU can nominate Bifwoli and it will be one funny election!

Lets get things clear here. Within ODM in a non infiltrated nomination Raila would easily carry the day at the expence of Mudavadi - no doubt about it. However, there is always a chance that ODM rivals could sneak in and vote against the grain to fail Raila! The above not withstanding, a deal could be struck between Raila and Mudavadi, to allow Mudavadi to win - seems unlikely though! If Raila supported Mudavadi candidature, methinks the animosity shown towards ODM would diminish. Even G7 would crumble. That's why Mudavadi is better placed to have a better shot at Presidency than Raila in the scheme of things. Dunia ni msongamano..

Musalia is a hard-sell. But I envy Moi. In 2002 he pointed at some senior KANU officials and said he would leave us in their hands. Raila, Ruto, Kalonzo, Uhuru and Mudavadi were in the group. Today, the chance of anyone outside Moi's group winning the Presidency is near nil
