If the top-brass at Paka were aware of the shift towards re-chargeable batteries as opposed to the non-rechargeables(paka......then maybe/perhaps.................Or if the top brass signed a franchise with Nokia or Samsung or Huawei (kabambe) to produce rechargeable batteries for their phones for the region????...then maybe.....

I don't hold this monkey but i'm just a patriotic Kenyan who does not want to see an Industrial going down (since the only edge we have as Kenya is our manufacturing/industrial capacity while our competitors UG have Oirroh, TZ diamonds, gold, gas etc, GOSS has Oirroh etc)....so if it is possible to get franchises for Sony Camera battery then maybe we can revive this factory and get some Nakurians back to jobo....my two cents..smile

What do you mean no end year results? They just reported a huge pretax loss of 173 million.

BBI will solve it

Blame it on the management. They just don't want to invest in research and development.

There are very many things that they could have done or/and should be doing to ensure they keep the profits and to some extent JOBS!

What they would just produce FAKE chinese (but original kenyan), and working, laptop batteries, phones batteries, camera batteries, rechargeable spotlight batteries, blah blah blah batteries, this buggers can even call them shungxheng li names, and kenyan would buy them. Example are the well known phones that don't even work for a week, yet people buy them!

Egerton University is just next door, yet the institution has relevant courses to Neveready, they just sponsor student research projects and "get" (read: steal) ideas!

Look at the bigger picture.. if i was an official of a company like that.. i would know some of the companies intangible assets such as a distribution network.. undeclared land parcels etc.. all i need to enrich myself is too kill the share price by reporting loss after loss etc

then when the shareholders are ready to run.. they will take anything..

i know this sounds vague but that company with its resources can't be doing so badly..

in two or three years the company will not be out but under majority ownership of a loose coalition of partners (criminals) who will then milk its real assets
