smile CO-OP bank may be a very good future bet that remains very stong. Though it has fallen to low of 14 from high 21, it still coping better than others. With its base on co-operative movements it may easily replace old banks like Barclays. The Agri-business, IT,Transport and import-export businesses may boost this share very well.
I hope the connections this bank may make with chinese investors are doing great and giving it an edge!smile smile

The way this topic is posted is malicious and misleading...simply say co op bank records 26% jump in profits.

COOP has hidden its profits in the loan provision it has an excess of 1B The 26% jump is very Conservative, if all that excess provision was to be turned into profit ,then COOP has outperformed most banks.

Cash and cash equivalent has jumped from 25.7B to 27.9B. Liquidity ratio is at 40.9% the highest I have seen in the major banks.

Borrowed funds is among the lowest in the industry in this Q
