This is so unfair. What will happen to the patients that are in need of the medical attention. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

By the way, is it all doctors or just those in public hospitals? what would be the grievances of those in the big hospitals when the hospitals are ripping us off big time?

Its fair because the govt has neglected the medical profession when awarding other professions in pretext that medical professions guys will be "touched" and continue working to save lives. Its unfair that patients will suffer ! Overall, I support the strike and all people in the public health facilities to down their tools. The lowest paid police Constable (from form 4) has a gross of ksh 18,000 while the lowest paid medical professional ie nurse etc gets a gross of ksh 23,000 (from KMTC) in govt institutions.A GP gets slightly over ksh 60,000 equivalent to the gross of a Chief Inspector of police. Surely, this is clear frustration. "You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who says it". Malcolm X

My view was that if a doctor or nurse goes on strike, they should be fired and cremated for posterity. After Lawyers, the police and Mungiki, doctors in Kenya have a bad reputation, incompetence, drunkards and drug peddlers. From KMTC, you pay 100k to get top grades and you still expect the KMTC products to perform. They most likely are into organ trafficking if they were taught early on corruption strategies. If you have ever been to a public hospital, you may agree with me that the doctors and nurses their offer the worst kind of medical care from how they handle you as a patient or a relative of a patient to when you are about to die. There was a time I almost died in a public hospital due to negligence but when I remembered how the morgues are, I decided not to die. I thought Any'ang Nyon'go is in charge of medical services and services by now would have improved but Eldoret ref and others have been in the media for the wrong reasons. She wouldnt accept to work for NH or AK because nurses there are not paid as well and they work even longer hours.... Their terms of service is so much better because she even gets more free days when she works at night.... Doesnt this apply to all government hospitals or is it exceptional to KNH?

However did you know that the hospital is mostly run by postgraduate students who do not get a single coin from the hospital-they actually pay fees!

WOW....such strong words. BTW...KMTC does not train doctors-those are not the people threatening to go on strike.
