Similar 'quality' problems in Mombasa & Kisumu... Runway lights go off... Tarmac/runway gets washed away...
No wonder we are a 3rd World country...
dont forget, airports soo insecure that random kids cross the runway jes before u land...happened in kisumu a coupla months back....
Airport is so none representative of the country....
I read somewhere that the airport is often a microcosm of the country/city...
I will give my view of some I have seen:
London's LHR - Busy, busy, queues everywhere, poor 'organic' design
New York's JFK - Confusing, crowded, oddly built, lousy
Singapore's Chang-Ki - Modern, efficient
Accra's Kotoko - Small, humid/hot, functional
Nairobi's JKIA - Ugly, hot/humid, crowded, vibrant
