That is an enticing entry point for Stanchart. I would have to compare with KCB at 18 and evaluate which will give me better returns for my money in say 3-6 months

N besides, growing 4.1B by 800m is no easy feat...its easier for DTB and th likes to grow bigger %s coz of the small numbers involved.. Having said that, Hats off to Equity

Who does marketing for SCB? Why would you sponsor one of TWENTY teams when the whole league is sponsored by a direct rival?

@cnn - I have not studied SCBK results closely but what is the gain from Bond Trading? Coz that 'profit' is going to stagnate or reverse... Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

If you are looking for dividends this is a good counter to be in. I was intrigued by Stockmaster's post (on re-entering the counter at Kshs 270)on the possibility of a bonus but in terms of growth, I think we can all agree that last year was an anomaly.
The bank is way too conservative with possibly the lowest loan to deposits ratio in the market. With bond yields having plummeted, I bet that profit growth will be constrained. Luckily SCBK is pretty good at keeping a lid on costs.
