On GPS ... eh... GPS should be used to just to ascertain the location not to mark out the boundary - my phone is typically accurate to about 3m (and i've used it a lot). (I have thought about using it to mark out plots)
As for the size - as been suggested - surveyor.
Now who were these selling plots - wanted to know prices for 1/4 and 1/8 at Kitengela & Athi. Also those that allow Multi Dwelling units (aka flats)
@Josey - kama bado uko... The plots marked via GPS - 5.1km off the main road - how are the roads there? Last time the car did not like them.

3m for an 1/8 or 1/4 is big. very big. consider accuracy as a fraction of the size of parcel.
