Somebody unmasked my screen name in another thread yesterday and it was not pleasant at all. These are the 3 things I felt

1. HORRIFIED

2. ANGER

3. VULNERABLE

Some one else tried the same on me...but he edited his post when I pointed this out....

Behind the gardens...Behind the wall...Under the tree (Including: Red...Dark Blue...Yellow)
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

@dsktop

But still,that shouldnt give someone the right to sukumanise your name just like that... its just wrong....

Some deals are like glass. Sometimes it's better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.

Unacceptable. We may argue all day and differ sharply on everything this side of the sun but even if I know your real name,it is my duty to protect your identity/privacy by all means unless you have chosen to explicitly reveal it.

However,note that you could have revealed some of this info inadvertently e.g. it could have been picked from an email address you provided when contributing to a past thread (something I have always been against). It is easy for someone to put 2 and 2 together if you provided an address like sheriann at ....

On a related note,ID theft is not very big in Kenya yet but it is catching up fast. Beware.

@ Sheri i trully feel you.

They tried that slimy trick on me but i was a step ahead. See,SK is crawling with all sorts of people. You may think its a site for the low drones,but i tell you if the faces in SK were un-masked you would scream all profanities you know !

Case in point 1,when the 2 principals were flown to Sagana to unveil the cabinet,a list was posted here and in less than 30 Mns Kibz was reciting the same list !

Case in point2 about a week ago i met one of Kenyas brainiest fund manager,and his views on a certain stock that was the subject of a heated discussion here in SK reflected a post that mirrored what he exactly told me about the stock. I nearly shat on myself as Poggie would say.

The high and mighty keep their keen ear on the ground,and what better ground than a site where the middle class and upper lower class huff and puff !

Ooh divine art of sublety !

@Sheri,pole sana. Indeed,we would like to keep our identities secret and long may it be that way.

@Lyanne.

I rather liked your response. But what makes you think that SK is 'a site where the middle class and upper lower class huff and puff !'?

Who says that the high and mighty,or even the upper classes,if I may call them that; could not be using the site for floating trial balloons and acting on the 'free intelligence' that SKerians generously provide?

Please let me know what Sublety means

Sublety = ???

Subtlety = Intricacy

Sobriety = Moderation

Thanks sister.

Not that i am demeaning SK guys,but simply put,most prolific threads here center on life survival tactics. Remember the thread on ' how to survive in Reccessionary times'.

Have you ever seen a post on ' best foreign holiday spot' or 'Ranch os Sale' ? The high and mighty dont reveal their steps or intentions,but they really like to peek beneath them and see what the drones are up to. Sorry for being blunt.

Wenye Nchi dont plot on how to survive,to them its a habit to floss !

Like i had earlier pointed SK is crawling with all manner of humanity possible. The NSIS is right here FYI,Major Pigs in the Pigsty,Cabinet MPig's,Marketers,Fund Managers,name it.

Thus,this is the beauty of SK,its a melting pot !!

The brains behind SK should work tirelessy to ensure the faces arent un-masked.

Hell,i privately muse to myself whenever i read a post here and i hear one of my staff praising Jammo's replies on his views.

Long live the faceless community in SK !

The 'mpole sana' initiative mailing list which draws membership largely from sk...can one claim it unmasks identity? I think so to any one with such a motive.
