Well said. I never touch paka. After what hapenned to guys who speculating with Uchumi, I have learnt to respect the market.


I was one of those Uchumi guys. Still praying for its comeback so I can unlock the value of my 800 shares. (back then I didn't care about fundamentals);
Pray The Ciano guy has done a good job and by the end of the year the company might come back with a bang!!!

@qw maybe we got off on the wrong footing. Seriously orchards has a better business model than paka. They sell canned fruit and jams but profits have eluded them for a while. If they return profits for 2 straight years a speculator would be untouchable. Same with marshals, bottom of the barrel stock but imagine if they settle their somaia-kamlesh boardroom squabbles and get a new franchise, voila money for you beyond your wildest dreams! Kama unafikiri hiyo ni matusi uko down.

I'm eagerly awaiting the Family Bank I.P.O. They would have listed by now had it not been for the prolonged bear market

That is what the market need. Bargains pop from nowhere as ppl are busy sellin to get cash for the ipo.
