I expected some resistance but not a total Red's show.What message are the people of Ukambani trying to send?.Could it be the end of Kalonzo?

In siasa, power emanates from numbers. This puts Ruto in pole position to be king-maker 2012.

Kalonzo has never been king-maker. He merely exploited PNU/ODM close contest in 2007 to land himself and cronies in cabinet. PNU was well beaten by PNU.

In this referendum however, Kalonzo appears to have lost grip of Ukambani to Kiema, although Ngilu held on to her Kitui.

The catholic church is said to be behind the NO wave in Ukambani.

Kalonzo will have to work very hard in the next two years if he expects to be either State President or Deputy State President in the next government. He is too senior for MP, Senate or Governor.

The other alternative is for him to retire honourably with Kibaki having reached his apex as Vice President in the current Grand Coalition.

Siasa, that is what happened. It looks like propaganda works wonders in Ukambani.

Even in his Mwingi North Constituency he barely hang on winning by a very slim margin of less than 2000 votes.Ngilu fared much better in Kitui Central.IKO KITU.

As long as I am in 'the land of the living ' ...I will never cease to remind the 'leaders ' of Ukambani to show leadership....these results just shows how the region is crying for leadership.....the people there could not decide who to believe.....

They believed in Mulu Mutisya ....water just passed-by....they had high expection on the Malili ICT park ....money was swindled....Maruba dam near Machakos town is full ....Machakos town is a thirsty town ....money was swindled and substandard work done on piping.....Mwingi is a coal (black gold) basin .....this remains unexploited as we run after N.eastern Oil mirage.... etc etc Sad Sad the picture in Ukambani is just too sad....

The potential of Ukambani is just amazing ....but it remains just that ..potential

.A total democratic overhall of leadership in Ukambani is ripe....

@Fundaah,
Doesn't this kill his ambitions of ever leading this country?.I mean,if he is unwanted by his kin,how would other "outsiders" support him? (From the context of kenyan politics and i don't want nobody to accuse me of being a tribalist.....smile )

Kalonzo's initial reaction to the proposed constitution costed him big, none of the big players will ever consider him a serious contender again!!!!
