"You had 24yrs and you failed to deliver a new katiba"
Kibaki has asked that we should feel sorry and empathy for the old man. Poor Moi, his sons might not enjoy his loot in peace.

BBI will solve it

And what did Kibaki gave us in the last 8 years of his tenure?
The largest IDP camps ever in the country.
He is realizing just two years short of his rule that he need to give Wanjiku something good.
Why was he sworn-in at midnight? Is that the best he could achieve in 5 years of rule?
Nothing to smile about.

And were it not for Kibaki's government, we would still be back in the Stone Age as we were pre-2002

He would have used the powers bestowed on him to prevent the killings.
One sure way of minimizing the slaughter would have been him to decline (the offer from Martha Karua) to be sworn in well past midnight.

In history, most progressive reforms in oppressed countries ruled by dictators were carried out by senior members in the oppressive regimes after breaking off, succession or overthrowing the dictator. Kenya's no different. Anyway I consider it a waste of time dwelling in Kibaki's history in Moi's Govt. after all he has less than two and a half years to retire and I'm sure overall history will be very kind to him.

Wapi?Neither here nor there.
Lucky Dube sung that it take a million years to build a good reputation, but it take only one second to destroy it.
Kibaki destroyed his the momemnt he ate kiapo at 0000HRS.
That is how history has recorded him.

I think Kibaki's biggest mistake and what cost him the corruption war was leaving this mzee out on the streets. He should have jailed the fellow. That is what we had overwhelmingly voted for. Overall, though, I think history will judge Kibaki very kindly. I really admire his hatred for long winding politics that are all talk and no movement. That you have to give to him.

My friend don't be left in the past mourning alone. Even the people who claim their votes were stolen moved on for the better of the nation. When I do 'the' two column 'like vs dislike' list for Kibaki, free primary education, the opening up of democratic space, CDF, and a new constitution have won me over. But that's me...
