Buy Mumias, NIC, safcom, jubilee and so on....
But if you're a beginner you need to find information about stock investing and trading so you can know why i picked those counters

Would suggest you take time to dig-up Wazua threads on any share you want to plunge into. It will give a generally good feel of what to touch and what not to touch.

Kindly go through the threads and you'll have a relatively good idea of which shares to pick. There is that thread "Best Wazua Stock Analyst - 2010" where wazuans select the most promising stocks to invest in which can help you see which way majority of the contributors are leaning. But obviously it's best you do some research into every counter/counter before you buy into it. If you dont know it, dont buy it!

Don't gamble; take all your savings and buy some good stock and hold it till it goes up, then sell it. If it don't go up, don't buy it...

Watch the markets now, the pick some counters after August 4. Go for fundamentals, preferably growth stocks.

But first things first, I assume you are familiar with how the markets work . . . coz if you'll not . . .

First get to know some basics. Visit sites such as investopedia, and jot down some pointers. I don't believe there is such a thing as 'the best stock for a starter'. The best stocks are also the best for experienced gurus. Check out companies with great management who have interests of shareholders at heart. And if you're just starting out, I wouldn't recommend trading but a long term strategy. Karibu wazua and make money

Hi,

Please be careful of who you are getting advice from, anyone who gives stock picking advice must be registered with the capital markets authority (CMA).

So those who are responding to the posting and are not registered as investment advisers are doing something illegal and could be charged.

Like in the biblical parable of the master and his three servants, the 3rd one was told that instead of burying his talent he should have at least have given it to the money lenders for a fixed interest return.

If you unwilling to exert yourself to learn about equity trading or investing then just put your money in a mutual fund or fixed deposit account

Rymoh-welcome to the wazua discussion forum.
Use the google search facility above to see what various knowledgable or unknowledgable wazuans have written about various stocks and NSE in general.
My only piece of advice, your stock buy is just as likley to go up. As it is to go down. The difference will be when u buy it and how much u know when u buy it.
