Late independence helped Namibia...We had an opportunity to learn from mistakes other African nations did...Mugabe is a hero turned villain...it's funny how every Zimbabwean used to sing and praise his name in the early 80's and late 90's but now every Zimbabwean want him gone...last year i had an opportunity to meet our Founding President Sam Nujoma he is a very humble man...he hardly speaks on national politics contrary to his friend Moi who is still on the campaign trail...

There is a school of thought that Kenya was supposed to get independence much later but the Brits got fed up with pressure from Americans so let it be. Also there was a change in government.

Another 15 years would have meant more & better educated Kenyans + a more cohesive (less tribal) government?

@ deal...r u an opportunist or what? so you will run away and then come back if things are good? or is it if they are bad....I think when these foreigners run away when we are voting, they shoulkd not be allowed back. They leave us guarding their wealth, after we have fought all the battles and everything is okey, they sneak back and take over and hire us and pay us as manual laboureres....

disclaimer: above are my view but they can be disputed!

If guys make an exit now and things turn out to be peaceful, we will have the opportunity to sell to them at higher prices so no problem at all.
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

I have to admit... @the deal is RIGHT... He is here to make money... If we can't keep the peace... it is OUR fault...

BTW, @the deal is from Namibia. None of this shyte over there from what I hear. A relatively clean government too...

And by the way, u don't have to be a foreigner to execute a similar strategy like The Deal. If u think we are headed south just sell and if u wake up in peace on 5th, then do you thing.

If u think things will go south after the referendum, wake up early on the 4th, cast your vote then take off to one of our neighbouring countries. Personally am not foreseeing anything major happening.

Hakuna kitu itatokea..,the market will be weak as it usually is at this time...even a 0.1% decline on the market will be reported as negative effect by sensationalist media....when something is widely expected it usually doesnt happen....when u feel safest sudden death is lurking ahead...stockmarketwise that is.
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.
