@Yekeyeke..

If you are referring to the thread about whether Equity is considered a tribal bank or not.. then that was me and Waithaka not Mukiha..

Not that it changes anything. 40% of my portfolio is Equity, but I still account for the risk that some people still consider it a 'kyuk' bank. The only reason I've invested so much in it is that I think that management's efforts at eradicating that negative image is working. That's why the bank was never under serious threat during the PEV.

I cannot recalling making any comment about equity that would make me weep when they perform so well; unless you are talking about weeping tears of joy!

Nevertheless, I did indicate some concern after talking to a former GM at the bank regarding they way JM runs the show. It left me wondering whether the bank can outlive him [JM, I mean].

Factoring that risk, I cooled off my bullish attitude and retained my holding at 15%. I had intention to take it up to 20%.

Lets try and weep for joy.....

Today, i am a happy person. Equity is going places. Two months gone and they have managed to open 400K M-kesho accounts. Thats and average of 9K account a day.

So the newspaper reports (the east Africa) were right.

Wow.

Same thing can be said of Safaricom, Bidco, Kenya Airways etc. Can these companies continue to prosper once the CEOs retire? smile
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

Definitey KQ will prosper after Naikuni leaves...i think if he announces that he is stepping down...the stock will shoot to 60 bob...LOL...
