How about this...

I was reading KCB's IM. I was almost ready to exercise the Rights allocated to me...

Turns out martin oduor-otieno the CEO earns KShs 68mn but owns ZERO (yes, ZERO) KCB shares...

JM of Equity had to cut his ownership to below 5%...

So unlike Equity share for JM, MOO has NO interest in how the KCB shares perform!

Does anyone have any info on the top paid c.e.o's at the NSE? If moo gets 68 million a year I wonder what others are getting.

@VVS, I think the Kshs 68m is for all the executive directors and not only for MOO.

vvs- how do you know martin gets ksh68m? It says they directors got Ksh104m for 2009 and I'd be shocked if more than half of the chunk was his.

And yes, it does look very bad that ceo sold his shares just before RI

My problem is shld i buy now or when the rights start trading ? And when are they starting to trade ?

you are a Technical Analyst..so you understand than most impact of supply vs demand on the price of a reasonably liquid counter..such as KCB.

You are better off waiting..
But should you be interested in KCB for the long term..then the 6% dividend yield on rights as previously highlighted by Dealis good enuf reason to buy the once allotted to you.. should you opt for more rights then factor the market price to calculate new yield..anything better than 5% is good.. beats rest of the market.

People... Please READ the IM... there is compensation for ALL directors. Then for EXECUTIVE directors...

On the Board, there seems to be only one EXECUTIVE director... ergo the 68mn is MOO's...

I think the non-execs get way too much!!! 36mn??? Wow!
