Well, certainly... NCC produces plenty of gas...

ncc gas? if we consider the stinking overflowing sewers . . .

btw @vvs, am cutting back on kplc to boost my liquidity and hedge referendoom, i could always buy the right from the secondary market at double price. could reenter though in late august

NCC produces tons of gas... From mayor, councillors, ghost workers, overflowing sewage, uncollected garbage...!

Why late august?? After the "YES" adverts smearing Ruto's lies all over tv i'm now extra confident of a YES win.... And with all the peace campaigns that were not there in 2007 i'm sure the NO camp will accept defeat.... So there is no need to liquidate and even if you do not until the end of august...

All the reason you should gear to buy into various counters just before or just after

We are just about to be presented great buy oportunities (look at over-reaction on EAC -10%)

As for KPLC, KCB-R experience shows the price most likely go lower (you have cited 170 or thereabouts yourself)

KPLC is a gem at the current price. Referendum or not, people will continue to use electricity and with only about 12% of the population with electricity, KPLC has alot of potential. I can't imagine what this counter will be trading at in 10 years. Let's talk then.
