That is if you are interested , it's optional. Be aware the IPO is coming up around Sept to Nov time frame . In addition Dangote refinery will be cross listed in Nairobi and Johannesburg bourse within a short time so I advise you wait for that because the IPO will be oversubscribed to avoid refund issues. The articles I will send to you is about Dangote refinery in the public domain , the goings on etc etc. Hope you are aware there is advanced discussion for Dangote group to set up refinery of 650,000 barrels per day capacity in East Africa , and Kenya is most preferred to host the proposed refinery . https://businessfront.co...refinery-launches-bold/

What kind of kind of refund issues do you foresee. Yes, I know about the planned refinery but someone here is trying to push it to Tanzania to protect the cabal of corrupt oil importers and their corrupt dealings. I understand the same happened in Nigerian because similar oil importing cartels couldn't fathom anyone permanently derailing their gravy train!! Of course it is easier for one to fight cartels and corrupt government operatives in ones own country (with power and influence like Dangote) than in a foreign country. Corruption made us lose planned Dagote's investment in cement manufucturing to Ethiopia from where we now import the cement from. Now it might make us lose the refinery to Tanzania!! Same forest, different monkeys!!! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Still not sure what to think about this, I have been reading and researching on this and it seems pretty divided even among Nigerians on social media. While many Nigerians are very proud of Dangote and his Pan-African dreams, others feel he is DangoTAKE and all he does is take and take, he is no Rockefeller and is not the one to industrialise Africa. A quote from Feyi, an author who has written extensively on Dangote. A link to one of his articles, where you can find other articles: https://www.1914reader.c...ll-industrialise-africa At no point in his long career as an ‘industrialist’ has Dangote shown the slightest interest in technology ownership or mastery, in research and development, in innovation, or in actual problem-solving. His focus has always been narrower and surer: find something already innovated elsewhere, for which demand has already been proven, secure government backing to shut out its importation, and then squeeze every last drop of margin from the privileged position that results.Anyway as they say the devil is in the details. Once the IPO Memoranda documents are out nitachanua one by one, sentence by sentence to see whether the deal is worth it.
