You simply can't make this stuff up Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Over a SIX YEAR (approx) period, the mighty stock guru, Buffett Jr.of Kenia, Expert investor, CFA, Esq MBA, Queen Termite, MBS, bin Tamaa tee tee (in prakets)
managed a paltry 7.16% annualized rate of return (42.96% ÷ 6) on his investments before taxes Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Even some Fixed Deposits..heck ata Ziidi pays more than that and they pay daily!

We warned him over and over again but his ujuaji could and STILL cannot (watch his response) be contained Laughing out loudly

VVS is BY FAR the most interesting online persona I have ever met.

His ability to fight against the freezing, GALE FORCE WINDS of the markets barefoot, shirtless and in tattered shorts, surging from failure to failure, without a loss of enthusiasm, is unmatched amongst every single investor I have ever met Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

I told him. Grow BEANS in Loitoktok. Heck, burn charcoal in Elburgon...do ANYTHING rather than invest in the casino.

How did he respond. Yep, you already guessed it.

"The casino may be rough but at least we are getting juicy dividend crumbs" Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

As I said you can't make this stuff up !!

The few millions he made OVER 6 YEARS are what someone made selling a bungalow on 1/8th acre in Kimuka way back in the same 2020, when we started documenting his quest for wealth. Laughing out loudly

Your calculations of return are totally off. Thatโ€™s not how you do it. But even if we concede that your 7% is correctly calculated. You have forgotten to include VVSโ€™s annual dividends, which could easily be another 8%. An annual return of 15% is nothing to scoff at my brother.

@2Cents Wachana na @amorphous whose house had become a lakehouse during the heavy rains. Laughing out loudly

Yes, the dividends have been SWEEEEET and are still coming in.
SBIC, SCBK, IMH have come in.

Waiting for many more to come in.

@Kaifastus - Asante. I am enjoying dividends as we speak.

C&G has given me bonuses and now a dividend on the bonuses!
NCBA is going to be sold soon for 105 and there will be a special/interim dividend.

Kenya Re also had bonuses. The dividends do add up.

Some of the shares purchased before Jan 2024 have Div Yields of 10% or higher.

Big up VVS.

@VVS I think you are being modest. I'm holding some of the same Div stocks you hold (five counters only) and the DY on the oldest ones have been between 15-25% on three of them, the other two, 6-7%.

Well, at least you learnt something. Returns from shares comes from two sources. Capital Appreciation + Dividends. Remember that in future.

What planet are you onLaughing out loudly ?
Even a form 1 knows that.

You don't see the Kimuka bungalow seller shouting about "sweet annual (rent) dividends" all day as if it's a big achievement despite the rents coming in HARD AND HEAVY. Year after year. At a reasonably predictable rate. He just builds and rents and sells in a year for that 4M (in fact more) cap gain that VVS struggled 6 years to accrue Laughing out loudly
Heck, even my 21 year old nephew, with some guidance, bought 10 acres, subdivided it and cleared a cool 9m in pure profits over a six month period.
How many years would have it taken for the dividend crumbs + cap gains of VVS's crumbling equities to match the sameLaughing out loudly
As I said, VVS' fatal flaw ni ujuaji mingi tu.
Masomos mingi mingi (mindless theory) yet performing abysmally in taking solid adviceLaughing out loudly
