KQ can't survive even good times.

I remember times fuel prices went so low that KQ's profitability was negatively affected for a while! Why? They had hedged the fuel prices at a very high price!

Then fuel prices rose and KQ profitability was negatively affected. Again! Why? They had not hedged!!!

It is a circus at KQ! Senior staff wanachinja ndege (stripping planes for parts), the planes are grounded then they sell back the same parts to the airline through corrupt channels. That is as low as it gets! How do you trust such senior managers with ANYTHING else!!?? You don't expect even your Grogon mechanic to behave like that when you take yoir car to them for repair!!!
