[quote=sparkly]KK to get 4B from KPC after delisting from NSE. What a fraud on minority shareholders!

Having got in at 8/= I don't consider this fraud at all.I've seen serious cases of shafting minority shareholders during delisting. They do it during the bear when the price is at an all time low.

1. The amounts due from KPC had been written off.
2. We are in a bear.

3. Were minority shareholders low balled by the 23/= per share offer?

4. The clean up - debt write offs, staff redundancies, exist from unprofitable TZ, buy in into lucrative bulk storage;
5. Management pay off - Senior management walked away with billions in Esops;
6. The price - Aly Khan had valued the share at much higher than 23;
7. The shady circumstances - completed after death of total man, some family members disavowing inheritance, dealers and brokers involved in insider trading;
8. The aftermath - leaner cleaner KK, total man family out of the picture, KPC pays 4B after delisting.

This transaction smells wrong from many angles. I bet money changed hands behind the scenes between total man family and the buyers to push through the deal.
Life is short. Live passionately.

Total man had planted some seeds in the current government who assisted in pushing through the deal

Thank you ever so much @vvs (the main driver) and the other co-drivers of this bus!!!

At 50/= pre-split, that was a buying price of 5/= per share. That is a return of 500% including dividends in 8 years.

I love this long term sh!t. Good thing I don't listen to kelele ya chura. As people were busy making fun of us and calling us gamblers in the NSE "casino" tings were cooking. Laughing all the way to the bank!!!

Thanks Bro. Parts of the journey were rough and some wazuans were on our necks but you kept the bus steady. I remember days when were being told KK would not survive the fuel price shocks then we later hit loss territory and we were written off!!!

You've been a great driver of this bus. I remember requesting you for insights on the stock even before I boarded and you were very generous with the information. Thanks Bro!!!

@Obiero - Come here and see how @vvs and I have been making proper money.

@VVS - Receive my thanks once again. You have directly made me loads of money over the years and even though I keep thanking you, I can never thank you enough!!!Applause Applause Applause Applause

Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

I have no god here.

I do my own research and also listen to others and see where there is convergence. On shares/companies that others might have more information and experience on than I do, I know who to ask for information and opinions and I always do. For example I have never regretted even once for asking the likes of @VVS, @Stocksmaster, @Young etc. for their opinion and following it. Not even once!
