NBK possible sale...sold some of the ones i purchased below
20.

Full year results being released at this moment

Appears like no dividend

It will be an interesting day tomorrow but the news of the sale of NBK was clearly meant to neutralise the negativity of no dividends, rising NPL of Ksh 208.3bn and shrinking EPS....

Looks like it was a good day to sell today for those that did at Ksh 26.70.

Happy hunting.

KCB cannot afford to pay a dividend given the CARs at KCB Kenya.
Equity might be a much better buy today but the cheaper the better.

I am not happy with the DPR of Equity since COVID days.
2 years of zero dividends. Then the dividend has been anemic vs others.
DRC will probably pay off so that's the bright light at the end of the tunnel.

KCB price baked in the prospect of zero dividends. Isn't the move from 15 to >21.95 sufficient compensation for being forward looking?

Aren't we looking at prices today vs yesterday?
It does not benefit me one bit what yesterday's price was.
I have to pay today's price.

Would it matter if you pay today's price at 21.95 and KCB missed to pay its 3 bob dividend and the price settles at 27 because of improved CAR?

I would rather look at other options than KCB for now at 22 for my own peace of mind.

2x ABSA at 11
For Equity, I would like to get back in but at a lower price.
0.8 I&M at 17.50

Good Luck!

I have been sufficiently compensated smile

KCB announces results at night . I thought it was a swearing in!!!
They bought a bull with no horns thinking it was a heifer nearing serving time ( National Bank)
Now they are selling their poor 'heifer-bull' for slaughter!!!

This one i bought heavily at 18 and below, i expect them to resume paying dividend of atleast 3bob by next year, that would be a very good yield at my current average. This year i don't expect much but at least 2bob will be appreciated

my biggest weakness have come to play again, i always locate very good discounts at nse but i exit earlySad Sad bought kcb heavily @an average of 17.80 but exited at 26, its now heading to 30
There are only two emotions in the stock market, fear and hope. The problem is, you hope when you should fear and fear when you should hope

Sometimes we aim too low only to regret, because we even don't sell to take the money to a better investment @31 Now you have lost 4 quick shillings and I still think the price of kcb should be somewhere near equity share going forward ...iam also dreaming of a special dividend after selling NBK

No special dividend from KCB;the money will be used to boost the capital ratios for KCB Kenya/refund the money.

Impressive 53% growth in profits to 21.2 B. The market is proving that dividends are irrelevant
