are we expecting GoK to do anything within those 2 years? and with the political noise about to or already started will anything happen?
How is KCB doing in Mumias, there were stories of sabotage, frustration and straight political interference to the receiver manager.

Steel tycoon Narendra Raval in race to rescue ailing Mumias Sugar

https://www.the-star.co.ke/business/kenya/2021-06-03-western-leaders-demand-transparency-in-search-of-mumias-sugar-investor/

The hawks and vultures have already started circling around overhead, ready for a quick bite. Shameful that the politicians supposed to be protecting the farmers seem to see some sense in this and are even willing to negotiate. Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you

21 Months to the COMESA Sugar safeguards. Hope there will be something sensible said in this years budget in regard with the sugar sector.

This issue was not mentioned in the recent KCB virtual AGM.
KCB group holdings can start a subsidiary company and run mumias.I don't know whether CBK will allow it but there is enough cash to run mumias and buy the two banks in Tanzania and Rwanda.

As expected. Knowing this country, am certain the politicians also sent emissaries with cash demands or else. The best thing to do when monkeys start flinging their excrement is to take cover.

The same politicians are now pleading with the investor not to pull out of the deal. Hypocrites!
