I am in agreement with @proverB coz the management has show sub-par performance... I would rather buy NIC or DTB...

This was on April 13;
NIC was 33.50
DTB was 78.00
CFC was 42.50

Yesterday's [12th July exactly 3 calendar months later] closing numbers were:

NIC = 39.00 [16% up]
DTB = 89.00 [14% up]
CFC = 83.50 [96% up]

Glad I stayed put...

@ mukiha asante...i'm getting in...i think cfc should ship du toit back to southern africa...i think he will do better there...then hire a competent kenyan c.e.o...

Your prayers were answered... partly, though. he was not shipped to SA.

Did you buy?

yeaah i went in...i bought 2000 shares at 43 bob...then sold the at 71.50...it gave me over over 60% return....with that i outperformed @stockmaster-our index here at Wazua...LOL...

You didn't have to sell the whole lot. 1,200 shares should have recovered your cash and you'd still be on this ride towards 100...

Where did you take the money?

I choose to look at it from a different angle. You are a young person investing. You should be proud of yourself. Your age mates spend their time in Westlands drinking all they have [and what they don't have]. With your cumulative knowledge, passion and experience, you'll be very far in 10 years! Congratulations!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Mambo bado, we will still make money on it after the de-merger. I will be keeping the insurance side of the business. It will be the more unfairly priced i belief.

Demand is 30k supply 5.5k

I bet the two orders will be taken....what say you?
