Its a bidding game.

The 2022 elections will not be a play in the park
Mount Kenya and affiliated Counties may/will not be going for Presidency.

But that does not mean they won't force the Presidential candidate to give away his/her deputy or even Prime minister to others but to Mt Kenya and affiliate counties.

Mt Kenya if BBI has to go through is by having the Prime minister slot who will be leader of government. If No PM the Deputy President must go to Mt Kenya or affiliate counties

Raila may not win without a Mt Kenya being Deputy or PM. He need to be a king maker and appoint a candidate salable to Mt Kenya and others even if Kaleos may not be happy.

MaDVD is far from being the No 1 for now if no support from Luo, Kalenjin and Mt Kenya/Affiliate Counties.

Kalonzo is no brainer

Moi Gidi is weak infront of Hustler Ruto and can carry only his Tugen region. Wetabix is still not mature.

Kamba, kisii are other swing regions as is NE and Coastal counties

Uhuru- Raila handshake need to look for a compromise candidate as President by September 2021

So who is this Compromise candidate with a strong Mt Kenya Deputy or PM.

Anything away from this is to make Ruto win big as Mt Kenya knows with Ruto President they will do business in Kenya/world and money in their pockets.

From where I seat, Ka-buffalo is a strong contender post Uhuru. He is very articulate, convincing as well as monied. But there are 2 main problems;
1. Many says he is independent minded as such he cannot be trusted to be deputy or PM (if BBI pass).

2. It will take a lot of effort for Mt.Kenya to support someone else from Kiambu county.

Eish,... @tinker, you think those alleged abuses he hurled at people of his county will ever be forgotten by his political enemies? If a useless loser like Babayao can be elected on the back of that, it will be convenient for many to bring back the past just to make him look bad. Because this time around, he needs votes from an electorate that will mostly be thinking about how bad things were economically during and post-pandemic (if it's over by then). Also, I'm not sure that our youth who have bought into the "hustler" narrative will listen to someone who shows off his wealth as much as him. To win them over, he needs to, (1) appear to be humble, (2) appear to be repentant and God-fearing, and (3) appear to be respectful to women - all at the same time. I'm not sure he can consistently do even one of those three things for long enough to be accepted.

I like how you put it appear to be...
...the two top choices we have are pretenders, we know them!.
That's why am vouching for Kabuffalo. Am not sure he insulted women because he has denied it many times. It is possible it was just a propaganda. And incase he said it, then better those who speak-up their mind than hypocrites.
Already Kiambu people have been singing Kaba-Kabogo!.

The way it is today, if we leave it to two horses Raila and Ruto, then Ruto will carry the day easily as Mt Kenya believe with a Ruto their businesses are safe and sound

Raila is facing more enemies or resistance even from coast, NE and Eastern as he seems selfish not ready to support those who supported him since 1997

Just like in 1992 and 2002, Mt Kenya won't determine who occupies the State house in 2022.

Laughing out loudly Infact the syndrome "Hustler- vs-Dynasty" had a king maker.

It was not made by Ruto!!!!

The architect of the Hustler -Dynasty mode was "FRANCIS ATWOLI"

During his public address to avoid the few Families ruling and passing power to their sons as has happened from Senior Kenyatta to Uhuru and then the possibility of the Young "tu Uhurus" growing and getting Power.

Similarly the Senior Moi to his son Gidi and then down to "tu Mois"

Atwoli was directing that MaDVD should get power and not keep waiting the Dynasty Children to grow and the proletarians to be ruled for ever.

I beg the media to revisit the Pioneer during his normal "tu Makende" rallies!!!

The way things are currently moving, the rich seem to be compromising and burying the hatchet after collectively killing the poor in RV,Naivasha and Nairobi Slums. Anyone care to explain why there was fighting in the Nairobi slums like mathare, yet none in parliament,Karen,Muthaiga or even the Pubs in Nairobi west?

The rich are not only getting away with all this evils but its clear they have aggravated the animosity amongst the poor. They will now cover it with a dirty bandage then leave it to fester and get filled with gangrene, till the next time it explodes.

And the next time the poor will possibly have guns, the incredible feel of power will lead to a murder spree, the west will wait for the magic number of 1 million dead before they declare it genocide and swoop in to save the day.

Let us not delude ourselves. There are only two tribes in Kenya.
a) The RICH
b) The POOR.

The RICH simply create a political façade to feed enough doses of opium to the masses so that they can continue lording it over us with impunity. It’s a deliberate diversion; while you blindly focus on politics, pay your taxes dutifully and get poorer, they focus on looting public coffers, don’t pay taxes and accumulate more wealth than they know what to do with in several lifetimes.

I have always maintained that there are 3 tribes in Kenya. The rich, the middle class and the poor.
The rich feel nothing.
The middle class do nothing. Kuongea tu.
The poor have nothing. Not even hope.

Soon, the poor will realise no one cares. And what you saw in the arab world may just happen.
The rich will take off.
The middle remain and bear the brunt of the chaos.
And then anarchy and mayhem.

It was we the common mwanachi that shouted at each other, fought each other and now we r following the same politicians and proclaiming how we r friends.
I remember someone asking, " How many houses were burned in the likes of Muthaiga Karen Lavington etc." For whatever good it will do let some of this actions teach us. According to some Schools of thought, Kenya has only two tribes, The haves and the havenots, The rich and the poor.

Will Uhuru delay the BBI referendum to February 2022 so that from there Coalitions of the willing will start forming?

If BBI goes through this year it will create a lot of nuisance to his 4 agenda grouping and delay his projects.

Uhuru must be very clever and delay the funding to the referendum.

March next Year will be the Coalition of parties to elect their flag bearer.
Hope some chamaas will not forget to front a Kikuyu either as PM or Deputy President to swing votes
