The capital erosion here is mind boggling.
Never seen a stock nosedive at such an alarming rate.
bids now at 8.50Pray Pray Pray

.....and to imagine that this stock was once referred to as a blue-chip, unbelievable.

It's still a constituent of the NSE 20 share index

Standard Group Market Cap 2.04B, NMG Market Cap 1.70B.

Standard group issued shares is 81.7mn

81.7 mn × 24 = 2.04B[/quote

81.7mn*25=2.04bn

This just keeps draining your cash which can be used better elsewhere. Thought KQ and MSC (among others) was a good lesson on averaging down.

This counter has been extremely oversold. Spooked sellers and few buyers. While we agree that revenues have been decreasing, NMG is not the monkey that the stock market is trying to make it seem.

It's still a constituent of the NSE 20 share index

Standard Group Market Cap 2.04B, NMG Market Cap 1.70B.

Why is SGL fairing better in the NSE yet they are in the same field?

Conversely, why was NMG always fairing much much better than SGL yet they have always been in the same sector? Therein lies your answer.

I wish NMG the best.

Grew up reading its newspapers and looked forward to the pullouts in the Sunday Nation.

Quite devastating. This stock now reminds me of KQ which I once saw trading at 136/= per share.

Whoa! Are they still paying dividends? This share raced down past SGL and is now trading at almost a third of it. If the market is a discounting mechanism, then there is something horrendously wrong with this one. The collapse is eerily reminiscent of ARM. Hell of a beating.
The main purpose of the stock market is to make fools of as many people as possible.
