Stop the negativity and celebrate the successes. At least the GDP growth has been rising consistently.

Tanzania is now a Middle Income Economy - Welcome brothers its good when you are at the same level as your neighbor. Mauritius is now a High Income Economy, it joins it's neighbor Seychelles on the high table.

How will our weakling president respond this time?

This has nothing to do with uhuru, or tz vs ke. It's all about public health....and common sense. We should follow the advice of our doctors and scientists. When they say it is safe to travel to tz, then govt will follow their advice and reopen tz routes.

Will have a cocktail of mostly three issues;
• Bilateral relations which might spiral to other areas/sectors. TZ seems ready to retaliate disproportionately when slighted and this often times works for them
• Economic issues – How many jobs, business / trade revenues are at stake, things are tough even the ever bullish KALPA is now pleading for jobs
• Health issues – stopping the spread/ flattening the COVID curve

If he closed the border before we'd be at a better place. The track drivers from Tanzania and the greater southern Africa countries are our problem

Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority nullifies approval of Safarilink operations into Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro,
Hopefully this diplomatic impasse will be resolved at the earliest.

Tanzania dethrones US as Kenya’s tourism top source market
Quote:

Tanzania edged out the US as Kenya’s leading tourism top source market in September buoyed by its lesser Covid-19 lockdown measures, new data shows.

This is a significant jump from August when the country could not even appear among the top 30 source market of visitors to Kenya.

“Tanzania leads with 4,309 followed by Uganda 3,812 and US 3,458,” the data shows.
