At this juncture, it is not about the Senate.

It is about The Ground. There is a dislike for Her Excellency among "The People" whose foundation I cannot yet discern.

The BBI, The association with The Right Honourable, The Kibra by-erections, and an ongoing spat with health workers.

She most likely will win at The Senate but on The Ground, things are elephant.

Apart from this one . What were the other accusations against her? We are hoping that this was a by the way and there are other heavy crimes.

If the Kirinyaga kleptomaniac, Ann Mumbi Waiguru-Kamotho survives the confirmation of impeachment at the Senate, it will be a vindication that this country is irredeemably under the evil trinity of autocracy, plutocracy, and kleptocracy.

It will further confirm, following her overnight sanitization at Capitol Hill, that the so-called handshake is an evil axis against the Kenyan people.

All this week, government officials have been all over the Mount Kenya region extolling the supposed delivery of projects by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Where has the prodigal President been all this time?

The President should be told, in no uncertain terms, that Mt. Kenya people are forward-looking and cannot build their nest on a ripe banana bunch.

His time is up.

If he spent the last 8 years in a drunken stupor, then he can't redeem himself in a sobering two, however rosy his delivery record is embellished.

Isn't it an insult to the people of Kenya when the President's handshake partner, Raila Odinga, becomes the official cleanser of all criminal elements?

On what pedestal does that place the person and office of the president?

It is a betrayal of trust when the President openly consorts with known criminals.

In effect he lacks the moral rectitude when entertaining the most cunning and viscious criminals in his court, to selectively brand anyone a thief.

If political expediency, as advocated by Franshenzi Atwoli, allegedly for BBI's sake, wins over moral probity, in this singular Waiguru issue, then the President should forever shut up over the fight against corruption.

He will in effect be an accomplice in the mess this country has been grappling with since independence.

There is no way, as Ngugi wa Thiong'o aptly depicts in Devil on the Cross, shall the devil ever deliver us from the sins, which he leads us into, day and night.

Yet we have excited chirikus parroting all over how Uhuru loves this country.

Do the rest of us love Kenya less, or does he love her collectively and wholesomely on our behalf?

Ng'ondu icio!

Even if it's from a Facebook group. We deserve to know the writer. He/ she deserves a standing ovation.
Building a nest on a ripe banana? That should be an eye opener.

The former Prime Minister says on Thursday evening when the alleged meeting with Waiguru and a host of other leaders is claimed to have occurred, he was meeting with Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru and other MPs.

“I can however confirm that at the said evening hours on Thursday referred to in the Sunday Nation lead page one story, I had a meeting with Laikipia Women Representative Hon. Catherine Waruguru in the company of some Members of Parliament.

The meeting had nothing to do with the tribulations of governor Waiguru,” added Odinga.

A caller in a vernacular station said they voted for Waiguru because they expected her to steal for them not from them.
