exiting is one of the hardest decision especially when the share is still going up.
during covid i bought 3 shares aggresively with a target of just 15%, absa @9.80, equity@33 ,and kengen @4.50
only equity have reached target @39.50 and to be sincere it has taken alot of strength to exit today bearing in mind that demand is still heavy.

If BAT can maintain the same dividend in 2020 vs 2019 then it's a super bargain at 314 but 2020 will be trying. Production costs will be higher as workers stay home or socially distance. Sourcing tobacco and the logistics of getting it to the factory will be more expensive. Same for getting cigarettes to buyers.

On the other hand if you think people will keep smoking - I don't support smoking but do support free choice - as they did then it will be back to normal in future years.

I’m hoping for some decent capital gains as well post curfew as we learn to live with Corona. I expect dividends to be lower for 2020 given the tougher business environment. All in all it’s a solid company my only hope is I didn’t get in too early!

Great move @littledove, don't be tempted to get back in at 40s. Hold firmly to that 16% gain net of commissions as you wait for the right time to get back in.

you can buy diamond trust bank at 83 or BAT at 315, they are yet to take off and if the rally is sustained by next week they can make you short term gain, but be very careful if your intention is to hold long
